Recovery Phrase for Your Photo Vault
Every Hidlet vault comes with a recovery phrase. If you forget your pattern, the phrase opens the vault so you can set a new one. Keep it somewhere safe.
A second key you keep offline
When you create a vault, Hidlet shows you a short list of words. That phrase can rebuild the vault’s key, so it opens the vault even if you forget your pattern. Then you draw a new one.
Write the phrase on paper and keep it somewhere private. Do not save it in Photos, Notes or a screenshot: anyone who finds it can open the vault.
Why we cannot reset it for you
Hidlet has no accounts and keeps no copy of your keys. That is what makes the vault private, and it also means there is no “forgot password” email. If both the pattern and the phrase are lost, the photos in that vault cannot be recovered by anyone.
