Common questions
I forgot my pattern. What do I do?
Open Hidlet, choose “Forgot pattern?”, and enter the recovery phrase for that vault. You can then draw a new pattern. Without the pattern or the phrase, the vault cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
How do I move my vault to a new iPhone?
Make sure encrypted iCloud backup is on (it is on by default) and has finished. On the new iPhone, sign in to the same Apple Account, install Hidlet and draw your pattern. The vault downloads and opens.
Some photos will not open. What should I try?
Make sure your iPhone has free space and the latest version of Hidlet, then close and reopen the app. If a file still will not open, email us with your iPhone model and iOS version. Never send us your pattern or recovery phrase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Hidlet and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I bought Pro but it is not showing. How do I restore it?
Open Hidlet’s settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
Does deleting the app delete my vault?
Deleting Hidlet removes the vaults stored on that iPhone. If encrypted iCloud backup was on, you can restore them by reinstalling and drawing your patterns.
