Terms of Use

These terms cover the Hidlet app and the website hidlet.app, both run by Karawya LLC (“we”). By using Hidlet you agree to them. The app is also licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Where the two differ, Apple’s agreement applies to the app.

Your pattern and recovery phrase

Hidlet is designed so that only you can open your vaults. We do not keep your pattern, recovery phrase or encryption keys. If you lose both the pattern and the recovery phrase for a vault, its contents cannot be recovered by you, by us or by anyone else. Keeping them safe is your responsibility.

Backups

Encrypted iCloud backup is provided to reduce the risk of losing your files, but it depends on your iCloud account, storage space and connection. Keep other copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Free plan and Hidlet Pro

The free plan has limits on the number of vaults, photos and videos, shown in the app. Hidlet Pro removes those limits and adds extra features. Pro is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.

Subscriptions

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you store in Hidlet. Do not use it to store or share content that is illegal or that you do not have the right to keep. We cannot see vault contents, but we may stop providing shared-vault features to anyone we learn is misusing them.

No warranty

Hidlet is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable and secure, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or that it will protect against every threat. To the extent the law allows, Karawya LLC is not liable for lost data or indirect damages arising from your use of the app or the website.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use Hidlet after a change means you accept the new terms.
